ART ROOTED
IN STORY.
A contemporary exploration of identity, memory, and Indigenous resilience.
02 — ABOUT THE WORK
STORIES HELD IN COLOR,
MEMORY, AND PLACE.
My work explores the spaces between personal experience and collective memory.
Drawing from my Menominee and Ojibwe heritage, I work across painting and mixed media to consider identity, belonging, cultural continuity, and the ways stories are carried from one generation to the next.
Some pieces begin with a specific memory or teaching. Others emerge intuitively through color, texture, movement, and experimentation.
Together, the work reflects an ongoing process of understanding where I come from, what I carry, and what I want to leave behind.

03 — THE ARTIST'S PERSPECTIVE
MORE THAN
SOMETHING TO BE VIEWED.
My work is inspired by Indigenous teachings, lived experiences, and the stories that continue to shape who we are.
Some pieces ask difficult questions. Others celebrate resilience.
All are created as invitations to pause, reflect, and connect.
04 — FEATURED STATEMENT
ART PRESERVES.
ART CONNECTS.
STORIES ENDURE.

For me, art is more than something to be viewed, it's a way of preserving culture, honoring those who came before us, and creating space for new stories to emerge.
My hope is that when someone spends time with my work, they leave feeling a little more connected: to themselves, to one another, and to the stories that shape our shared humanity.
